South Web Design is me, Alfie South — a Hampshire-based web developer. When you hire South, you get the person who writes the code, start to finish.
I build websites for local businesses the honest way: by hand, in code — the way that makes a site genuinely fast, secure, and yours to own.
I started South because I kept seeing the same thing — good local businesses sold a slow, templated site and a monthly bill for something that loaded like treacle. You deserve better than a site your web designer couldn't be bothered to make fast.
So my sites are static and hand-coded. That means they're fast (sub-second loads, top Lighthouse scores), secure (nothing bolted on to hack or break), and yours — the code is handed over, no platform holding it hostage.
I work with a small number of clients at a time so each one gets proper attention. If that sounds like the way you'd want it done, say hello.
